With that fateful Father's Day announcement from my wife, Elephant Crossing was born (no pun intended!).
Both of us had experienced the value of having our own parents at home when we were children, so I had already been exploring ways to generate extra income for our expanding family that would let both of us quit our jobs to have as much time as possible with our kids.
After all, as so many other parents had warned us: "They grow up too fast!"
